File Manager Utility
There is no substitute for a good backup, but the File Manager will, in most cases, allow you to recover damaged database files.

The File Manager allows you to perform maintenance and repair work, selectively, on each of your COGZ CMMS Software files. Tag the file that you would like to repair and perform the desired function. You will need to be sure all other users are logged out of COGZ CMMS Software. You can also run a backup before using the utility.
The File Manager can be found via File – System Maintenance – File Manager.
After selecting File Manager, you are prompted with two messages assuring that you have done the following: Log off all other users (if any are logged in) and suspend program and backup your current system before procedure is run.
There cannot be any users logged into the program, other than the one running the File Manager Utility.
You should always backup your current system before proceeding.
Click on the File Access button to determine if you have read, write, and deletion rights in order to fix the data that has been corrupted. If this is successful the following message will appear.
If you are not experiencing data corruption please skip next step and continue to Freshen.
Select the Corrupted File (mentioned in error message) and Fix.
Tag All Files and click the Freshen button to compare record count of each file and check for file corruption in all files.
The message above is displayed if the number of records do not match. Select Yes to see a list of non matching files (indicating possible corruption).
Additional information on the COGZ File Manager can be found in the COGZ Manual under File Manager in the System Maintenance section.
