Text Messaging

Emailing from your COGZ System has become a popular option*. Email is very useful for getting information and notifications to your staff.

You can also use the email system to send text messages to most cell phones. The exact procedure, and message length, varies by your cell phone service provider.  While not universal, normally you can send an email as a text message using the cell phone number and the specific email address for the provider.  An example would be 2125551212@txt.att.net.

With a little research, or a call to your carrier, you should be able to get the email address for their text message service.

Email to Text enables the following capabilities:

• Notify Department Manager or Scheduler when new Work Requests are received.
• Notify Requester when a Work Order is created, completed, or when the status changes.
• Notify Assigned Employee when a Work Order is created.
