File Usage/Corruption Troubleshooting

Problem: In COGZ CMMS Software, user receives this error message: “Attempt to use file (file name) before it was opened. Press OK to end this application.”

Resolution: Use the File Manager utility on the file listed in the message since this could be a slight data corruption and the File Manager should take care of the problem. You can also restore the program from a backup to before this message was received.

Problem: In COGZ CMMS Software, user receives this error message: “File (file name) could not be opened. Error: Possible data corruption in file (file number). Press OK to end this application.”

Resolution: Use the File Manager utility on the file listed in the message as this is telling you there is data corruption in the file. Depending on the severity of the corruption, there might be a few files on which to use the utility. Just be sure to use it on all the related files to resolve the problem. You can also restore your system from a backup made before receiving this message.
