Preventive Maintenance Scheduling by Meter or Miles

COGZ Preventive Maintenance Software offers the ability to schedule Preventive Maintenance (PM) Work Orders by Meter (Hours/Count) or Miles in addition to, and in coordination with, scheduling by Days. Note that scheduling by Days is always required, even if using Meter or Miles scheduling.

Required Initial Entries: For the tasks to Generate PM Work Orders properly, the following 3 forms MUST be completed:

Equipment Form – Meters Tab

Enter Last Reading date.
Enter Current Meter/Miles readings

Preventive Maintenance Task Form – Meter Scheduling Tab

Set Meter/Miles Frequency – note that you can use either Meter OR Miles frequency, not both.
Enter Last Meter/Miles Done

Preventive Maintenance Task Form – Date Scheduling Tab

Enter Frequency Days – this is generally a backup in case meter/miles are not updated
Enter Last Date Done

Optional Entry: It may be useful to set up a separate meter reading task.

Preventive Maintenance Task Form – Meter Reading Task

A Separate Meter Reading Task may be entered to remind staff to read the meters on a periodic basis

On-Going Processes: For the Meter/Miles Scheduling process to function as desired, current meter and/or miles readings must be entered on a regular basis. Meter readings may be entered manually, or, with the optional Equipment Enhancement Module, automatically, from a file.

Equipment Meter Reading Report – A printed report with last reading and a place to record current meter/miles

Equipment Meter Entry Form – Transfer Equipment Meter/Miles Reading and Date from Report above to COGZ

Meter Import File – COGZ can import meter and miles reading from a properly configured file.
